“Zack Hates Robots” is a captivating comic series produced by Eric La Gattuta. Gattuta worked on the basis of the comic in 2017, dedicating a year to its craft. Prolonged revisions made it so that his work was published in Fall of 2025.
The comic is set in a dystopian society taking place 20 years in the future where there is a national divide. In this series, artificial intelligence is the cause of societal division. A majority of people live in decadent cities brimming with free money, virtual escapism, and A.I. That being said, a great population of this world has come to terms with the isolation that this powerful technology has lead to and construct rural townships free of technology that are guarded by military checkpoints.

Even though this story was written in 2017 where AI wasn’t as dangerously prevalent, its influence on our world just a few years later is a notable assumption to its dangerous effects on our lives moving forward. “Zack Hates Robots” has evolved over the years. It continues to captivate readers with life experiences of a relatable group of friends. In the series, this friend group consists of the characters Zack, Angel, and Dylan. This story teaches us that the most dangerous aspect of these computerized advancements is our own accepting of it. The moment we stop fighting against AI is the moment it begins to fight against us.
