Recently Moraine Valley hosted an Alcohol and Drug Health Fair courtesy of The Addiction Studies program. The event delved into a myriad of crucial topics, spanning from rehabilitation strategies to facilitating access to mental health therapists tailored specifically for the well-being of our students. Reflecting on the affair, I can’t help but wish for a deeper understanding of these issues. What stands out, however, is the sheer abundance of resources available to support those grappling with various challenges. The amount of resources made just to help is so staggering that I compiling all of them into a single document proved a daunting task. Nevertheless, our efforts persisted, and you’ll find the fruit of that labor located at the bottom of this page.
Engaging with this topic, albeit somber, offered a profound revelation regarding the school’s unwavering commitment to the health and welfare of its student body. Most students spend summer away from classes, focusing on the semesters when there are more course offerings. Student Services though are available throughout the summer for any who are inn need of them.
