Meet your new Student Trustee, Garrett Weigel

Hey, Moraine Valley!

My name is Garrett Weigel, and I am honored to be your new student trustee for the 2025-2026 school year!

Currently, I am finishing up my Associate of Arts degree at Moraine Valley and plan to graduate in the Spring of 2026. Alongside my studies, I am also a federal work-study student and help students fill out their FAFSA forms. In addition to my studies at MVCC, I am also pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems online through the University of Illinois at Springfield. In my free time, I enjoy cooking, rock climbing, and traveling.

Although there are still some things I have to learn regarding this position, I am genuinely excited about the opportunity to represent you all. My goal is to be a strong, approachable voice for the student body and to make a positive, lasting impact on campus.
