Although spring break is around the corner, it’s important for students to take the time to apply for the hundreds of scholarships our college has available!

Yes, you read that correctly, there are more than 200 scholarships that are readily available for students for both part-time and full-time students, FAFSA and non-FAFSA, with some being gender- or age-specific, and others targeted on certain degree programs. Some scholarships require a minimum GPA of 2.0; only a few require a GPA greater than 3.0.
It’s extremely simple and quick to apply: Answer a couple of questions about yourself, complete the essay portion (extremely important), and you are set. Upon completion, you will see a list of all the scholarships for which you are eligible. The application deadline is March 31, 2021, and it’s definitely worth it. A single application covers all MV Foundation scholarships. You do not need to complete multiple applications.
You can apply online by clicking here. Patti Friend, director of Alumni and Annual Programs, stated, “It takes only about 30 minutes to apply.”
Personally, I have received two scholarships worth $750 total for my fall semester. They were extremely helpful to pay for books and tuition. It only took me about 20 minutes to fill out the application and once I did, it was smooth sailing. There are so many scholarships that are based on identities and interests such as ethnicity, gender, majors, age, and much more!
