Moraine will host the annual Rainbow Reception virtually this year at 1 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 1. This event, organized by the LGBTQ+ Subcommittee of the Celebrating Diversity Committee, will highlight all the resources at Moraine that are available to students that identify themselves under the LGBTQ+ umbrella.
Representatives from many offices at Moraine will be speaking at this event, explaining the resources they have for students. Some departments include the library, which will discuss related books, the foundation, which will talk about Moraine’s LGTBQ+ scholarships, student life, which will explain the school’s GASP! club, and more. There will also be a discussion relevant to students who choose to go by a name other than their legal or birth-assigned name.
The bookstore will also be selling Moraine Valley Pride T-shirts for $19.95, with curbside pickup and free shipping available.
No payment or reservations are needed to attend, so it is open to all. To attend, simply click on this link.
