Despite a well-played game, the Moraine Valley Cyclones fell in their home opener against Carl Sandburg College 88-73.

The Cyclones’ defense and rebounding was a bit off, but they still battled. There were plenty of rebound opportunities and attempts, but the team was only able to make 32 rebound shots. In the first half, the Cyclones scored 37 points. That was almost matched in the second half, as the Cyclones put up 36 points.

Chris Harrison led the team’s scoring with 21 points. Ryan Saunders follwed with 16 points and 8 rebounds. Jalen Hughes rounded out the three stars with 12 points.
