Lewis previously ran against Jackson in 2024 House primary and lost.

Platform: According to Lewis’s campaign page he has accused Jackson of treason due to supporting groups like the World Health Organization. He referred to COVID as nonsense. Lewis has also pledged giving no more aid to Ukraine. Lewis is a supporter of an anti-black hate crime bill. Lewis is also a supporter of reparations for black people who are descendants of enslaved Africans. Lewis is also a very strong supporter of Trump and his second term. Platform: Maxwell supports dismantling organized crime networks. Maxwell has a goal to reduce crime by 20 percent in pilot neighborhoods. She has a goal of adding 5,000 new jobs by 2028, as well as advocating for tax breaks for businesses in high-unemployment areas. Jackson formally held this same seat from 1995-2012 but ended up resigning after being found guilty of mishandling $750,000 in campaign funds and serving 30 months in jail. Jackson supports building a third service airport in the Chicago Southland area. Jackson said he will fight for medical leave as well as affordable healthcare and higher wages. He is and advocate for high-speed internet especially in rural communities. Jackson also said a priority of his will be expanding the number of mental health professionals. Platform: Miller supports Medicare for All and said she will fight to lower the cost of insulin and prescription drugs. She’ll fight to expand Medicare and Medicaid. Mike Noack is running unopposed for the Republican nomination.

Platform: Noack is a strong support of Elon Musk and the work he did with DOGE. Noack is a supporter of ICE and says if you are here illegally for at least five years but have a job you should have citizenship. Platform: Ramirez has championed her support of the LGBTQ+ community. She has advocated that former members of Congress not become lobbyists, and has supported campaign finance reform. Ramirez also supports speeding up the process of veterans receiving benefits. She supports bringing in migrants who face war conflicts in their country. Incumbent Quigley first took the seat in 2009. He is also simultaneously running for Chicago Mayor for the 2027 election.
Platform: Quigley has championed his commitment for ethics reform, and his commitment for LGBTQ+ rights. He said he supports cutting the Department of Defense’s budget.
