Greetings, students and staff! As we draw closer to the end of the fall semester, I congratulate you on all the demanding work you have put into the year, and hope for the best for all of you. Now that we have returned from our Thanksgiving holiday break, here is what will be going on until the semester ends.

Are you having trouble with financial aid? The Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC) will be presenting in person to provide help on how to fill out a FAFSA. This event offers one-on-one guidance on Tuesday, December 7. I highly recommend attending this seminar if you are struggling with completing your FAFSA, and understanding the concept of what the document is. This will be extremely helpful for you, and for your future. If you are interested in this helpful seminar, be sure to reserve your spot. If you plan on attending, follow this link to set your appointment. Most scholarships and grants request applicants file an annual FAFSA as part of their eligibility requirements.
Our Admissions team is offering an online media session to help navigate the college process. The team will discuss other fantastic opportunities such as learning how to use the resources on campus, how to get involved in student activities, and how to access financial aid. This event takes place on Wednesday, December 8, at 4:00 pm. Make sure to reserve your spot at the link provided.
Speaking of the fall semester, the fall semester ends on December 17, which is not far away. Final exams are scheduled during the week of December 10 – 16. Check with your instructors for additional Final Exam information and structures. Furthermore, Winter Session classes begin on December 20, so if you have signed up for those accelerated courses, keep that date on your radar. Remember, the college will be closed from December 23, 2021 to January 5, 2022 for Winter Break.
I wish you the best of luck on your finals, and Happy Holidays!
