The economy and union laws are playing a pivotal role in the Nov. 8 election.
One thing on the ballot is Amendment 1, the Illinois Right to Collective Bargaining Measure. The proposed amendment would prevent the Illinois General Assembly from being able to pass “right-to-work” laws that make it more difficult for employees to organize and to negotiate terms for hours, wages, and workplace safety.
